Bordeaux
Wedding Photographer

I’m Lina Bernard, a wedding photographer based in the South West of France, working regularly in Bordeaux and its surrounding countryside.
I work with international couples planning weddings that leave space for people, light, and real moments.
My approach is documentary, combining digital and 35mm film wedding photography to create a cohesive and intentional body of work.

Wedding Photography in Bordeaux, France

& the surrounding wine region

Bordeaux is often chosen for its elegance, its architecture, and the gentle rhythm of life shaped by vineyards and river light : elegant townhouses, neoclassical châteaux, vineyard estates, and intimate countryside properties. From the historic centre to Saint-Émilion, the Médoc, or the rolling landscapes of the Dordogne valley, the region allows celebrations to unfold at a natural pace, surrounded by texture, stone, and soft Atlantic light.

For couples planning a wedding here, the city offers something rare: a balance between refinement and atmosphere, where historic stone façades, quiet courtyards and surrounding wine estates create a setting that feels both timeless and alive.

A Documentary Approach, Guided by Light and Rhythm

My approach is calm and observant. I work within the natural flow of the day, allowing moments to happen while remaining attentive to composition, light, and balance.
Throughout the day, I photograph using both digital and 35mm film wedding photography. Digital allows for continuity and flexibility, while film introduces a slower pace and a different relationship to time. Film images carry subtle variations in tone and texture that add depth to the final gallery. This way of working isn’t about nostalgia or effect. It’s about creating a body of work that reflects not only what happened, but how the day felt — quietly, honestly, and with intention.

Destination & Multi-Day Weddings

Many of the weddings I photograph in and around Bordeaux take place over several days. Welcome dinners, garden gatherings, the wedding day itself, and farewell moments allow space for connections to grow and stories to unfold naturally.
This format creates a richer narrative, moving beyond a single sequence of highlights. With time and continuity, the images reflect the full experience of being together — the in-between moments as much as the main events.
I offer coverage adapted to multi-day celebrations, ensuring a consistent visual thread across each part of the weekend.

Bordeaux weddings for international couples

Many of the couples I work with travel from abroad to celebrate in Bordeaux and the surrounding region.
Planning from a distance requires clarity, trust, and guidance. I support couples throughout the process, helping them anticipate the rhythm of a wedding day in France, the timing of light, and the flow that allows both celebration and quiet moments to coexist.
Whether your wedding takes place in a vineyard estate, a private château, or an intimate countryside home, my role is to create images that reflect the atmosphere you experienced and the people who shared it.
